Doha: The Meteorology Department has issued a warning about strong winds and high seas, advising caution for those in affected areas. The weather inshore is expected to be moderate with slight to blowing dust during the daytime, becoming mild to relatively cold in some places by night.
According to Qatar News Agency, the department has highlighted that offshore conditions will remain fine, but there is a warning for strong winds and high sea conditions. Inshore winds are forecasted to be northwesterly at 10 to 20 KT, with gusts reaching up to 30 KT in certain areas during the day. Offshore, winds will be northwesterly at 15 to 22 KT, with gusts potentially hitting 30 KT at times.
The sea state is anticipated to vary significantly, with inshore conditions ranging between 3 and 4 feet. Offshore, the sea state is expected to range between 4 and 7 feet, potentially rising to 10 feet at times. Visibility inshore is predicted to vary between 4 and 9 km, possibly dropping to as low as 3 km in some areas. Offshore visibility is expected to range between 5 and 10 km.
