Baghdad The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, discussed this evening, Friday, by phone with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to strengthen relations between the Kurdistan region and the Gulf state.
A regional government statement said that the two sides “exchanged congratulations and blessings on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr.”
Barzani expressed, during the call, his appreciation for the condemnation of the State of Qatar for the recent attacks on Erbil International Airport, and discussed the latest regional developments.”
The two sides expressed their “common readiness to increase trade exchange between the two sides and enhance investment, and it was agreed to maintain close contact on issues of common concern. “
