Doha: Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri met Thursday with ambassadors of European Union (EU) member states to Lebanon, to discuss bilateral relations and the latest developments in Lebanon and the Middle East.
According to Qatar News Agency, Berri reaffirmed Lebanon’s commitment to advancing financial, economic, judicial, and administrative reforms, and praised the EU’s support for the country, particularly in areas impacted by Israeli aggression. He also underscored the need to further strengthen cooperation between both sides.
For their part, the EU ambassadors, especially those representing countries contributing to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in southern Lebanon, expressed their support for Lebanon, the UNIFIL mission, and ongoing reconstruction efforts and related programs.
