Kuwait City: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Thursday as the All Share Index lost 17.13 points to reach 8,052.89 points, a decrease of 0.21 percent.
According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 261.9 million shares valued at KWD 74.4 million (roughly USD 228.4 million) were traded via 17,568 transactions. The trading activity reflected a downward trend across various indices on the bourse.
The Main Market Index saw a drop of 22.18 points, closing at 6,979.14 points, marking a decrease of 0.32 percent. This was achieved through the exchange of 133.9 million shares, conducted via 8,040 transactions valued at KWD 18.6 million (approximately USD 57.10 million).
The Premier Market Index also witnessed a reduction, losing 16.72 points to settle at 8,718.68, down by 0.19 percent. This movement involved 127.9 million shares traded in 9,528 transactions, with a total value of KWD 55.7 million (around USD 170.9 million).
Additionally, the bourse's Main 50 Index decreased by 59.26 points to reach 7,243.06 points, a decline of 0.81 percent. This was through a stock volume of 90.5 million shares executed in 5,301 deals, with a value of KWD 13.8 million (approximately USD 43.3 million).
