Israeli Strikes Claim Six Lives in Gaza, Including Three Children

Gaza: The death toll from Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip on Thursday has risen to six, including three children, according to Palestinian medical sources. Health officials reported that one Palestinian was killed overnight, and several others were wounded in Israeli shelling in the southern part of the enclave. The strike reportedly hit a tent sheltering displaced people in the Al Attar area west of Khan Younis.

According to Qatar News Agency, earlier in the day, an Israeli air strike targeted another tent in the Al Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, resulting in the deaths of four Palestinians, including three children. A fifth person was reported killed in a separate strike in northern Gaza.

Israeli aircraft also carried out an air strike on Gaza City, as well as two additional strikes northwest of the city, witnesses said. The Gaza Ministry of Health reported that three Palestinians were injured after an Israeli strike hit a school in the Beit Lahia project area in northern Gaza.

According to the ministry, the overall death toll from Israel's military campaign in Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 71,395, with 171,287 others injured.
