Israeli Occupation Surrounds Teqoa, Launches Wide Scale Arrest Campaign

Occupied Jerusalem, Israeli occupation forces besieged the town of Teqoa, southeast of the city of Bethlehem, today. They also launched a widespread arrest campaign, that lead to arresting 48 Palestinians from various areas in occupied Jerusalem and the West Bank.

The Israeli occupation forces surrounded the town of Teqoa', southeast of the city of Bethlehem, after closing the remaining entrance that was open to Palestinians, using earthen barriers and cement blocks, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

On another note, the occupation forces arrested 14 Palestinians, including a released prisoner from Ramallah. They also detained 17 Palestinians from Hebron, including nine workers from the Gaza Strip who were assaulted before their arrest.

Israeli occupation forces arrested 7 Palestinians in Jericho, and a released prisoner from Jenin was also arrested. In addition, another youth from Qalqilya was arrested.

Meanwhile, occupation forces arrested four Palestinians from Nablus, one of whom was injured by Israeli gunfire. In Jerusalem, four other Palestinians were also arrested.

There are daily raids and incursions into villages and towns by Israeli occupation forces, in various parts of the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, These actions are accompanied by confrontations, arrests, live and rubber bullet shootings, and the use of toxic tear gas bombs against Palestinian youth. The intensity of these campaigns has increased in conjunction with the unprecedented and ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7th of last year. This aggression has resulted in thousands of casualties, mostly innocent civilians, including children and women.
