Israeli Occupation Continues Its Aggression on Tulkarm, Its 2 Camps for 213th Day

Tulkarm: The Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression on Tulkarm and its camp for the 213th consecutive day, and on the 201st day on the Nur Shams camp, amid military reinforcements and ongoing escalation.

According to Qatar News Agency, local sources reported that the city and its neighborhoods and suburbs, especially Dhinnaba, Iktaba, and Shuwaika, witnessed intense raids and movements by occupation forces’ vehicles and infantry squads. These forces patrolled the main streets, deliberately obstructing the movement of vehicles and citizens by setting up flying checkpoints and conducting searches and identity checks.

The sources indicated that the occupation forces raided several homes in the Al Mahdawi neighborhood in the Shuwaika suburb, north of the city. They detained a citizen after storming her home, conducting a field investigation before releasing her. Additionally, military reinforcements of vehicles and infantry units were sent to the center of Tulkarm, specifically in the vicinity of the Martyr Dr. Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital, where a barrier was set up to prevent vehicle movement, further obstructing citizen movement.

Over the past two months, Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps have been subjected to large-scale demolitions. Many residential buildings have been destroyed as part of the occupation’s plan to demolish hundreds of homes, forcibly evicting their owners. These homes were reduced to rubble, with others set ablaze.

The aggression has led to the complete destruction of 1,000 housing units, with thousands more partially destroyed. The remaining homes have been vandalized, with no sign of normal life in the two camps.

The ongoing aggression has resulted in the deaths of 14 Palestinians, including a child and two women, along with dozens of injuries and arrests. There has been widespread destruction of infrastructure, homes, shops, and vehicles, forcing the displacement of over 5,000 families, comprising more than 25,000 people.
