Hebron: The Israeli occupation forces raided six schools in the city of Hebron on Thursday and detained several teachers.
According to Qatar News Agency, the forces carried out searches in the Sheikh neighborhood and the southern area of Hebron, leading to the detention of several educators during the operation.
The incident occurs amidst a backdrop of ongoing violence affecting the educational sector in the region. The number of students killed in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the aggression has surpassed 18,346, with 27,884 injured. In the West Bank, 143 students have lost their lives, while 970 others have sustained injuries, and 740 have been arrested in Gaza.
The educational workforce has also been significantly impacted, with 970 teachers and administrators killed and 4,533 injured in both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Additionally, more than 199 educators have been arrested in the West Bank.
