Israeli Airstrikes on Southern Lebanon Kill Three

Beirut: Several Lebanese regions were subjected Wednesday to a series of Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling, leading to three deaths and a number of injuries, amid heavy warplane activity over Beirut and its southern suburbs.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health's Health Emergency Operations Center reported that three people were killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted Bint Jbeil at dawn. This attack followed the killing of seven citizens and the wounding of 11 others in airstrikes on Al Shahabiya in the Tyre district.

Israeli warplanes also targeted a house in Al Hamiri in the district of Tyre, resulting in injuries to several civilians who were transferred to the city's hospitals for treatment. Al Haniyah experienced artillery shelling that coincided with an Israeli drone raid on the town. Additionally, Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike on Harbat, north of Baalbek in the Bekaa Valley.

In Beirut, Israeli warplanes conducted several successive airstrikes on the southern suburbs, specifically targeting the Haret Hreik area. These actions were accompanied by intensive low-altitude flights over the suburbs and over Beirut and its surrounding areas.

The escalation in Israeli military activity in Lebanon, particularly in the southern regions and the southern suburbs of Beirut, has been ongoing since March 2, amid rising tensions in the Middle East.
