Muscat: Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein discussed strengthening bilateral relations Thursday with his Swiss counterpart, Ignazio Cassis, who is visiting Iraq. During their meeting, the two sides also explored ways to develop and advance joint cooperation between the two countries in all fields, particularly political and economic ones. They also discussed regional and international issues of common interest as well as current regional developments.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions between Hussein and Cassis aimed at enhancing the diplomatic ties and exploring new avenues for collaboration. The meeting emphasized the importance of addressing both countries’ political and economic interests while also focusing on pressing regional and international issues. Both ministers expressed their commitment to fostering mutual understanding and cooperation in these areas.
