Iranian hope for special Omani efforts to end the Yemen crisis

Baghdad Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian expressed, today, Saturday, his hope that the efforts of the countries of the region, especially the Sultanate of Oman, will succeed in ending the crisis in Yemen.

Fars News Agency quoted Abdullahian as saying, during his meeting with the Omani Assistant Foreign Minister for Diplomatic Affairs Sheikh Khalifa Al-Harthy, who is in Tehran to attend the meeting of the Joint Committee for Strategic Consultations, that Iran is committed to dialogue and adopting political solutions to solve bilateral and regional problems.

He stressed Tehran’s readiness to negotiate with countries in the region to improve bilateral relations.

For his part, the Omani Assistant Foreign Minister expressed during the meeting his hope that the Yemeni crisis would be quickly ended, expressing his country’s welcome to peaceful and negotiated means to reduce regional problems.
