Baghdad - The Iranian Foreign Minister confirmed on Thursday that Tehran “does not welcome the expansion of the scope of the war in the region,” warning that “if the Gaza war continues, we will not be able to stop the fire.”
Hussein Amir Abdullahian from New York said: “For 3 weeks, we have been witnessing war crimes and genocide committed by the Israeli occupier in Gaza and the West Bank.”
He added: "The United States and European countries are watching and supporting the killing of 7,000 civilians in Gaza by Israel."
The Iranian Foreign Minister stressed, "We do not welcome the expansion of the scope of the war in the region, but if the Gaza war continues, we will not be able to stop the fire, explaining that Israel is an aggressor and occupier, and the Palestinian people have the right to resist it and establish their state."
He considered that "a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue can only be achieved by granting the Palestinian people their right to establish their state."
Hussein Amir Abdullahian warned that "if the genocide in Gaza continues, America will not be spared from the fire."
He explained, "Hamas is ready to release civilian prisoners and the world must support the release of 6,000 Palestinian prisoners," stressing that "according to international law, the Palestinians have the right to struggle to gain independence, including armed struggle."
He added: "Whoever wishes not to expand the war must put pressure on Israel to stop its war on Gaza."
Earlier, US President Joe Biden sent a clear warning to Iranian Leader Ali Khamenei if attacks on American forces in the Middle East continued, indicating that he must prepare for a possible American response.
