Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian arrived today, Wednesday, in Kuwait coming from the Sultanate of Oman, on the third leg of his Gulf tour.
The Iranian minister in Kuwait discussed, with Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Foreign Minister Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the latest regional and international developments, bilateral relations and ways to enhance them, according to the Kuwait News Agency “KUNA”.
Amir Abdullahian’s Gulf tour, which will also include the UAE, comes days after Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan visited Tehran, for the first time since the reconciliation between Iran and Saudi Arabia in an agreement concluded last March under the auspices of China.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Iranian minister visited Muscat, where he confirmed that he had held “constructive and positive” talks with his Omani counterpart, Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi, according to what was reported by the Omani News Agency.
KUNA reported that Al-Busaidi confirmed, after his meeting with Amir Abdullahian, that the latter’s visit comes “with the aim of continuing consultations between the two sides and cooperation in many files of a bilateral nature,” noting the great agreement in the visions between the two countries on a number of issues.
