Doha: The International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) condemned in the strongest terms the new terrorist crime committed by the brutal Israeli occupation, namely the heinous targeting of the residential compound of the Hamas Political Bureau delegation in Doha. In a statement Tuesday, the IUMS affirmed its unwavering support for the State of Qatar, expressing its full solidarity with it in the face of this blatant aggression.
According to Qatar News Agency, the IUMS praised Qatar's honorable stance and its embrace of dialogue and negotiation efforts to halt the massacres and genocide against the defenseless Palestinian people. The IUMS added that this heinous attack is not only a war crime added to the black record of the occupation, but is also a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the State of Qatar, a blatant challenge to international laws and norms, and a targeting of the noble humanitarian role played by Doha in upholding justice and supporting the oppressed.
The IUMS stressed that this targeting reveals the true face of the occupation and demonstrates that it respects neither international law nor diplomatic norms, but rather continues its rampant aggression without deterrence. The IUMS called on the international community, international and regional organizations, and the Security Council to take urgent action to hold the occupation accountable for its escalating crimes, calling on Arab and Islamic countries to take a unified and firm stand against repeated Israeli violations.
