The Advisor to the Prime Minister for Women's Affairs, Shahba Ahmed Al-Azzawi, chaired a meeting devoted to supporting women's empowerment and protecting their rights, in the presence of 30 female journalists and media professionals working in local institutions.
During the meeting held at the Prime Minister's headquarters today, many issues related to women and their suffering from the social, economic and cultural aspects were raised.
The meeting discussed a number of issues that would contribute to supporting the role of women and giving them the status they deserve at all levels.
During the meeting, several recommendations were made that will be presented to the Prime Minister for approval, which would contribute to supporting the status of women and granting them their rights.
It is noteworthy that the meeting was held in cooperation with a member of the Council of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate responsible for the affairs of women journalists, Ban Faiq al-Qabtan, and a member of the Monitoring Committee of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Heba Hussein.
