The Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh asserted that the priority now is to immediately stop the occupation's aggression on the Gaza Strip and West Bank, including Jerusalem, and get relief and medical aid, water and electricity into the Palestinian territory. This came during his meeting with the German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Svenja Schulze on Tuesday. During the meeting, Shtayyeh added that the wisdom requires support for stopping the war not to condone its continuation, pointing out that the aggression on Gaza, along with the massive devastation and the talk about reoccupying or carving up Gaza Strip and establishing buffer zones are included in the persistent strategy of the Israeli entity to shatter any opportunity that embodies the establishment of the independent Palestinian state. Palestinian Prime Minister called on Germany to recognize the State of Palestine at the bilateral level, in addition to supporting the recognition of Palestine as a state with full membership in the United Nations. Shtayyeh welcomed the resumption of the cooperation program by Germany in the field of development and humanitarian support in the Palestinian territories which contributes to alleviating the suffering in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
