The Quartet meeting of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) kicked off in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on Monday to discuss crisis in Sudan.
The meeting aims to reach an agreement that ensures an end to fighting in Sudan, facilitate access of humanitarian aid and take concrete steps to support peaceful transition with the participation of 4 heads of states from IGAD.
In his inaugural speech before the meeting, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed called on parties to the conflict in Sudan to end fighting.
