Doha: HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani has sent two cables of condolence to HM Emperor Naruhito of Japan and to HE Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, following the death of former Japanese Prime Minister, Tomiichi Murayama.
According to Qatar News Agency, the messages of condolence were sent in light of the passing of Tomiichi Murayama, who served as Japan’s Prime Minister from 1994 to 1996. The Deputy Amir expressed his heartfelt sympathies to the Japanese leadership and people, acknowledging Murayama’s contributions to Japan’s political landscape.
Tomiichi Murayama was known for his efforts in improving Japan’s relations with its Asian neighbors and his significant role in domestic policy reforms. His tenure as Prime Minister was marked by initiatives aimed at fostering peace and reconciliation.
