Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani emphasized Qatar’s ongoing commitment to international mediation and humanitarian efforts during a speech at the opening of the first ordinary session of the second legislative term, the 54th annual session of the Shura Council.
According to Qatar News Agency, HH the Amir stated that Qatar’s continued involvement in conflict resolution and humanitarian initiatives has bolstered its global standing and linked the nation’s name with a positive and active international role. He noted that these efforts not only hold humanitarian value by resolving conflicts and saving lives but also elevate the State’s stature and resilience, a notion well recognized by the Qatari populace.
HH the Amir further elaborated on Qatar’s foreign policy, emphasizing its role as an active partner in the international community. He declared that Qatar is dedicated to contributing to the challenges faced by the Arab and Islamic Ummah, aiming to meet the aspirations of its peoples for security, stability, and sustainable development, while also supporting international peace and security.
