Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan witnessed the signing of several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between the two nations at the Amiri Diwan.
According to Qatar News Agency, the leaders oversaw the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the defense industry between Qatar’s Ministry of Defense and the Presidency of Defense Industries under Turkiye’s Presidency. Additionally, a Joint Ministerial Statement was signed between Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Turkiye’s Ministry of Trade. Another MoU focused on cooperation and exchange of expertise in strategic development planning between the Government of Qatar and the Presidency of Strategy and Budget under Turkiye’s Presidency.
Both leaders also witnessed the signing of the Joint Statement of the 11th session of the Supreme Strategic Committee between Qatar and Turkiye. The ceremony saw the presence of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, along with other Qatari ministers and senior officials.
On the Turkish side, the signing ceremony was attended by ministers and senior officials who were part of the official delegation accompanying President Erdogan.
