Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met with HE President of the Republic of Maldives Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on Monday during the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit at the Sheraton Doha Hotel. The discussions centered around enhancing bilateral relations and exploring avenues for expanded cooperation, alongside addressing regional and international matters of shared interest.
According to Qatar News Agency, the leaders also discussed the recent Israeli attack and reviewed several topics listed on the summit’s agenda. The meeting underscored the importance of collaboration in facing common challenges and highlighted the ongoing commitment to strengthen ties between Qatar and the Maldives.
The meeting saw the attendance of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, and HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi from the Qatari side. The Maldivian delegation accompanying HE the President also participated in the discussions.
