Gulf Games Doha 2026: Qatar Strengthens Lead in Overall Medal Standings with 96 Medals

Qatar: Qatar strengthened its lead in the overall medal standings with 96 medals at the end of the fifth day of the ongoing 4th Gulf Games (Doha 2026) in Doha which will continue until May 22.

According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar's medal tally stood at 36 gold, 32 silver, and 28 bronze, with 6 gold, 6 silver, and 2 bronze medals achieved on Saturday in snooker, shooting, bowling, table tennis, and athletics.

Saudi Arabia secured second place with a total of 53 medals (21 gold, 16 silver, and 16 bronze), while Bahrain ranked third with 45 medals (18 gold, 17 silver, and 10 bronze).

Oman maintained its fourth-place ranking, increasing its medal tally to 23 (8 gold, 4 silver, and 11 bronze). The UAE came in fifth with 39 medals (7 gold, 11 silver, and 21 bronze).

Kuwait finished sixth with 38 medals (6 gold, 14 silver, and 18 bronze).

The 4th Gulf Games are scheduled to continue tomorrow, Sunday, with competitions taking place in athletics, snooker, padel, bowling, table tennis, and volleyball.
