Doha: Germany has announced plans to host talks between delegations from the United States and Ukraine focused on exploring a potential ceasefire between Moscow and Kyiv, ahead of a European leaders' summit in Berlin on Monday.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions will involve foreign policy advisors from multiple countries, including the US and Ukraine, with the aim of identifying opportunities to advance toward a ceasefire to end the nearly four-year-old conflict.
From the US side, the talks will include Steve Witkoff, a special envoy of President Donald Trump, accompanied by Jared Kushner, senior advisor to the White House.
