Riyadh: HE Chairman of the General Authority of Customs and Chairman of the Executive Council of the GCC Customs Union Authority, Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Jamal, met with the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi. The meeting, held in Riyadh on Sunday, focused on updates regarding the Customs Union Authority's work, joint Gulf customs projects, and the necessary steps for completing the establishment of the Customs Union.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions also covered mechanisms to improve coordination and cooperation with relevant government authorities in member states. This is aimed at supporting the implementation of joint initiatives and projects to achieve their intended objectives.
HE Al Jamal expressed his appreciation to the Secretary-General of the GCC for his support of the Customs Union Authority's work. He highlighted the commitment to overcoming challenges facing Gulf customs operations, thereby advancing the Customs Union Authority's goals for GCC member states.
