Paris: The Tunisian Ministry of the Interior announced Thursday that its security forces killed four militants in the Kasserine Governorate, the central-western part of the country. The ministry added that the militants were killed after being tracked in recent days, and affirmed its continued efforts to thwart any plot targeting Tunisia's security.
According to Qatar News Agency, Tunisia has witnessed clashes in recent years between security forces and militants who have established strongholds in the mountains of the west of the country, resulting in the deaths of dozens on both sides.
