Foreign Ministers of Pakistan and Switzerland Discuss Middle East Developments

Islamabad: Pakistani Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar and his Swiss counterpart, Ignazio Cassis, engaged in a phone call today to discuss recent developments in the Middle East.

According to Qatar News Agency, the ministers expressed optimism about the progress toward an understanding between the United States and Iran. The Swiss Foreign Minister commended Pakistan for its diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving stability and peace in the region.

In a related announcement, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry stated that Mohammad Ishaq Dar is scheduled to travel to Geneva tonight. The purpose of the visit is to finalize the US-Iran agreement, which President Donald Trump indicated might be signed either at the end of this week or next Monday.
