Doha: HE Political State Secretary to Foreign Minister and Defence Minister in the Republic of Finland Pasi Rajala praised the leading role played by the State of Qatar in international mediation, expressing his appreciation for its pivotal efforts in bridging differences between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to Qatar News Agency, in statements on the sidelines of his visit to Doha, His Excellency said that this major achievement underscores Qatar's longstanding and widely respected role as a facilitator of dialogue in complex conflicts. He noted that Qatar's leadership represents a global model in peacemaking efforts and promoting dialogue between countries.
In a related context, Pasi Rajala commended the preparedness and resilience of the State of Qatar during the recent crisis and its ability to maintain the vital functions of society in very difficult circumstances. "I am proud that we are able to establish a connection between the Security Committee of Finland and Qatari Authorities. Our comprehensive security model, developed after the second world war, and the proven resilience of Qatar provides opportunities for beneficial dialogue, sharing experiences and joint work on enhancing resilience of our societies," His Excellency added.
For his part, HE Ambassador of Finland to the State of Qatar Juha Mustonen said, "I dare to say that the national effort of the State of Qatar qualifies as the most or the best work for fraternity between nations."
