Doha: European stock indices showed a decline at the beginning of the trading session.
According to Qatar News Agency, the pan-European STOXX 600 index began trading down by 0.8 percent, reaching 542.38 points. This decline comes after the index had snapped a five-session losing streak on Monday.
The telecommunications sector was notably the biggest loser, falling by 1.4 percent. Conversely, the energy sector was the only sector to see gains, rising by 0.3 percent, while all other sectors experienced declines.
Germany's DAX index experienced a significant drop, falling by 1.5 percent to 23,335.09 points. In the UK, the FTSE index also saw a decrease, dropping by 0.7 percent to 8,813.69 points. Meanwhile, France's CAC 40 index decreased by 1.12 percent, closing at 7,653.51 points.
