London: European stock indices closed Thursday with a collective increase.
According to Qatar News Agency, the pan-European Stoxx 600 index rose 5.26 points, or 0.97 percent, to close at 547.10. The German DAX index also experienced a significant rise, climbing 358.09 points, or 1.49 percent, to close at 24,367.47.
In the UK, the British FTSE 100 index showed a modest increase, rising 46.09 points, or 0.52 percent, to close at 8,972.64. Meanwhile, the French CAC 40 index closed higher by 99.91 points, or 1.29 percent, to end the day at 7,822.
