Egyptian President and Norwegian Prime Minister Advocate for Sharm El-Sheikh Agreement Fulfillment

Doha: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store stressed, in a phone call today, the importance of full implementation of the Sharm El-Sheikh Agreement, ensuring the continuation of the ceasefire, facilitating the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, and accelerating the launch of the reconstruction process.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Egyptian presidency stated in a statement that President El-Sisi reviewed developments in the implementation of the Sharm El-Sheikh Agreement, noting Egypt’s intention to host the International Conference for Early Recovery and Reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.

He also expressed Egypt’s aspiration to enhance cooperation with Norway in preparing for this conference and for Norway’s active participation in its proceedings. Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and the United States signed the US President’s ceasefire document for the Gaza Strip during a summit held in the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Sheikh, attended by regional and international leaders.
