Awaza: Dr. Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, the Minister of State for International Cooperation, participated in the second high-level thematic discussion session at the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which took place in Awaza, Turkmenistan.
According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the conference aims to monitor the progress of the OAS Action Programme (2024-2034). This programme serves as a strategic plan for enhancing the capabilities of landlocked developing countries by focusing on infrastructure development, trade facilitation, investment stimulation, and the strengthening of institutional and digital capacities.
Dr. Al-Misnad’s participation underscores Qatar’s dedication to bolstering international efforts that promote sustainable development. It also reaffirms Qatar’s commitment to supporting landlocked developing countries, which face distinct challenges due to their geographical constraints, particularly in transportation, logistics, and regional integration.
