Dollar Rises 0.1% Amid Fed’s Interest Rate Decision

Doha: The US dollar found its footing in Asian trading on Thursday after the Federal Reserve kept its policy interest rate on hold and Chair Kevin Warsh left markets guessing about how divisions on its rate-setting committee would resolve. According to Qatar News Agency, the dollar index, which measures the greenback's strength against six currencies, nudged up 0.1% to 100.93.

The British pound was 0.2% weaker at $1.3347 ahead of a Bank of England interest rate decision. The euro slid 0.1% to $1.1453, reflecting market reactions to the Fed's stance.

The Australian dollar was steady at $0.6953, while its New Zealand counterpart was 0.2% firmer at $0.5809. The yen remained level at 163.465 per US dollar, indicating stability in the currency's performance despite the Fed's decision.
