Doha Design District Launches ‘Mada and Sada’ Platform to Support Creatives

Doha: The Doha Design District (DDD), the creative hub at the heart of Msheireb Downtown Doha, has launched 'Mada and Sada': an immersive creative platform and spatial experience that traces an artwork's full journey from a first idea to its public life. The launch marks the opening of an ongoing program of workshops, exhibitions, and cross-disciplinary collaborations.

According to Qatar News Agency, the platform is designed to serve emerging voices and established names alike, aiming to dissolve the boundary between creative process and public engagement. It seeks to immerse audiences in the making of creativity. The launch event was attended by designers, artists, and members of Doha's wider creative community and was opened with 'Msheireb Symphony' by internationally acclaimed Qatari composer and singer-songwriter Dana Alfardan.

Commenting on the platform, DDD Director Dana Kazic stated, "Through 'Mada and Sada,' we're creating a platform where creatives can experiment, connect, and bring their ideas to life - contributing to a cultural ecosystem that resonates both locally and globally."

A special session was held as part of the launch event led by the Creative Director of Pentagram, the internationally renowned design studio, Samar Maakaroun, who conceived the visual identity of 'Mada and Sada.' The session explored a brand identity's creative philosophy and its role as a strategic tool capable of translating stories, values, and purpose into visual and verbal systems that shape how an organization is perceived and remembered.
