Department of Meteorology Warns of Poor Horizontal Visibility

Doha: The Department of Meteorology issued a warning about poor horizontal visibility in its daily weather report. The inshore weather conditions are expected to be misty to foggy in some areas until 6 p.m., followed by moderately warm temperatures during the daytime with some clouds.

According to Qatar News Agency, offshore conditions will be hazy to misty initially, with scattered clouds expected. Inshore winds are predicted to be variable initially, shifting to southwesterly to southeasterly at speeds of 2-12 KT. Offshore, winds will mainly vary from northwesterly to southwesterly at similar speeds.

The sea state inshore is anticipated to range between 1-2 FT, while offshore conditions will see waves between 1-3 FT. Visibility is projected to be between 4-9/2 km, possibly decreasing in certain areas. Offshore visibility is expected to range from 4-9 km, with potential reductions to 3 km or less initially.
