Doha: The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning concerning weather conditions expected until 6:00 pm on Monday. The forecast indicates that inshore areas will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with chances of scattered rain that may become thundery at times. Strong winds are anticipated in certain locations.
According to Qatar News Agency, offshore areas are also predicted to be partly cloudy to cloudy, with potential for scattered rain that could be thundery. The report warns of the likelihood of strong winds and high seas accompanying the thundery weather conditions.
The inshore winds are expected to be mainly northeasterly, traveling at speeds between 5 to 15 knots, and may gust up to 30 knots during thundery rain. Offshore, the winds will vary from northwesterly to northeasterly, reaching speeds of 6 to 16 knots and potentially gusting to 30 knots.
Sea conditions will vary, with inshore waters experiencing a state of 1 to 3 feet, rising to 5 feet during thundery rain. Offshore conditions will see seas of 2 to 4 feet, escalating to 10 feet in thundery weather. Visibility is forecasted to drop to 4 to 9 kilometers or less during thundery rain, both inshore and offshore.
