Doha: Weather, inshore, until 6:00 pm on Saturday will be partly cloudy to cloudy with a chance of scattered rain maybe thundery at places at times, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report, warning of expected thundery rain associated with strong wind at places.
According to Qatar News Agency, offshore conditions will similarly be partly cloudy to cloudy with the possibility of scattered rain that may be thundery on occasions. The report highlighted the potential for thundery rain accompanied by strong winds and high seas in these areas.
The wind inshore is expected to be mainly northeasterly to northwesterly, blowing at speeds of 05 to 15 knots and potentially gusting up to 25 knots during thundery rain. Offshore winds will vary from northeasterly to southeasterly, maintaining similar speeds and gusts.
Inshore sea conditions are anticipated to range from 1 to 3 feet, rising to 5 feet during thundery rain, while offshore conditions will vary from 2 to 4 feet, increasing up to 8 feet with thundery rain. Visibility inshore and offshore is predicted to be between 04 to 09/03 kilometers or less during thundery rain.
