Doha: The death toll from Israel’s ongoing assault on Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 58,667, with 139,974 others wounded.
According to Qatar News Agency, in the past 24 hours alone, hospitals in the Strip received 94 fatalities, including one body recovered from the rubble, and 367 injured.
The ministry noted that many victims remain trapped under the debris or in the streets, as emergency and civil defense teams continue to face difficulties reaching them.
Since Israel violated the ceasefire agreement on March 18, the death toll climbed to 7,843, with 27,933 wounded. The number of workers martyred while trying to earn a living and whose bodies reached hospitals stands at 877, with over 5,666 injured.
Israel resumed its assault on Gaza in March after a two-month pause, targeting multiple areas across the Strip, which continues to face an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe. (QNA)
