Criminal Studies Institute Trains Record Number of Trainees in 2025

Doha: The Public Prosecution's Criminal Studies Institute announced that it trained 1,863 trainees in 2025 through courses in various judicial, legal, and administrative disciplines.

According to Qatar News Agency, the number also included training visits from Arab and international judicial and academic bodies, in addition to participation in seminars organized by the institute during 2025. During the year, the Criminal Studies Institute organized 25 training courses for judicial officers, with 975 trainees participating, as well as 12 refresher courses for members of the Public Prosecution, involving 181 trainees. Additionally, two qualification courses for assistant prosecutors were conducted, including 20 trainees.

The institute facilitated 5 training visits and exchange of experiences for delegations from public prosecution offices in Switzerland, Abu Dhabi, Syria, Kazakhstan, and the Palestinian Judicial Police. This included training visits for 51 participants and an external training program for university students, which encompassed 15 students.

Furthermore, the institute held 4 legal seminars with 154 participants and conducted two regional and international courses for 103 trainees. It also offered 22 administrative and specialized courses with the participation of 364 trainees.

The Criminal Studies Institute is tasked with training members of the Public Prosecution, their assistants, and other concerned parties to enhance their scientific and practical skills. The institute designs and implements specialized training programs for members of the Public Prosecution and other affiliates of various state entities. It prepares and qualifies assistant prosecutors for judicial work and collaborates with similar institutes domestically and internationally. The institute also organizes seminars, scientific meetings, and participates in meetings, conferences, and seminars relevant to its objectives both inside and outside the country.
