Jerusalem: Colonists stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem on Wednesday, under the protection of Israeli occupation police.
According to Qatar News Agency, dozens of colonists entered Al-Aqsa Mosque in groups, conducted tours of its courtyards, and performed Talmudic rituals while being protected by occupation forces.
The Israeli occupation police imposed strict restrictions on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa, checking their IDs at the mosque gates.
The Islamic Endowments Development Department in Jerusalem reported that the so-called “Temple Groups” launched a petition to collect signatures, addressed to the Minister of National Security in the extremist occupation government, Itamar Ben-Gvir. The petition includes demands regarding Al-Aqsa Mosque during the so-called “Jerusalem Day,” on May 26.
