Civil Defense Teams Put Out In The Center Of Al-Najaf

In the presence of the Director General of Civil Defense, Major General Mohsen Al-Zamili, the firefighting teams put out a fire that lasted for several hours in the industrial craftmen neighborhood, east of Najaf Governorate.

For his part, the Director General of Civil Defense, Major General Mohsen Al-Zamili, announced the formation of a committee to investigate the fire incident, which was put out a short while ago in the industrial craftmen district, east of Najaf.

Al-Zamili indicated that the fire broke out in five stores containing plastic and food items.

He added, "34 firefighting teams from Najaf, Babylon, Karbala, Diwaniyah, and the Imam Ali shrine firefighting teams participated in extinguishing the fire, in addition to municipal departments, oil products, and the popular Mobilization."

He pointed out that "the losses are estimated at millions of dinars, and in the accident, Colonel Rabah Jaffat of the Najaf Civil Defense was injured, and Ali Rahim, a member of the petroleum products department, suffocated during the putting out operations. A committee was formed to find out the causes of the accident by the criminal evidence and civil defense."
