Beijing: China welcomed the announcement of an agreement on a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the United States of America and Iran, which included a permanent ceasefire and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Qatar News Agency, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Lin Jian expressed hope that the United States and Iran will sign the first-phase MoU on schedule. He emphasized the importance of all relevant parties remaining committed to peaceful solutions and resolving issues through dialogue and negotiation.
Lin Jian stated that China is prepared to collaborate with the international community to continue playing an active role in restoring peace and tranquility to the Middle East and the Gulf region as soon as possible.
