Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Libya are looking into cooperation in the commercial field in EgyptPresident al-Assad congratulates Christian denominations on Christmas

The Libyan trade delegation currently visiting Cairo, headed by the President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Libya, 'Mohamed Al-Raid', discussed aspects of cooperation with the President of the General Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, Ahmed Al-Wakil. According to a statement by the Egyptian Chambers of Commerce on Monday, the Libyan delegation invited the Federation of Egyptian Chambers to visit Libya during the coming period to learn about the needs of the Libyan market for all goods and services, which contribute to reconstruction, pointing out that the President of the General Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce promised to respond to the invitation as soon as possible. According to the statement, the Libyan delegation promised to work to solve the problem of receivables from Egyptian companies working in the field of contracting, stressing the importance of facilitating procedures for the transfer of goods and individuals between the two count ries. The delegation pointed out the large accumulation of transport vehicles in front of the 'Salloum Crossing', which may take up to two weeks or more for the release of goods, which negatively affects the movement of trade and the rise in 'shipping' costs, which recently affected the decline in the volume of trade exchange between the two countries by a noticeable percentage, up to (30%), demanding that a crossing be allocated for transport vehicles away from the individuals crossing, and that security procedures be facilitated, proposing in this regard allocating the 'Siwa Crossing' for this purpose. Members of the Libyan delegation said: The close distance between Egypt and Libya, and the speed of releasing goods, is one of the relative advantages that Egypt enjoys, and we must work to benefit from this advantage and work to develop it. The meeting was attended by the Libyan Consul in Alexandria, 'Mohamed Saleh Al-Saadi,' the head of the Chamber of Commerce in the Egyptian Giza region, 'Osama Al-Shahe d,' the diplomatic attaché at the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, 'Mohamed Samir,' and a number of Libyan businessmen.
