The delegation pointed out the large accumulation of transport vehicles in front of the 'Salloum Crossing', which may take up to two weeks or more for the release of goods, which negatively affects the movement of trade and the rise in 'shipping' costs, which recently affected the decline in the volume of trade exchange between the two countries by a noticeable percentage, up to (30%), demanding that a crossing be allocated for transport vehicles away from the individuals crossing, and that security procedures be facilitated, proposing in this regard allocating the 'Siwa Crossing' for this purpose. Members of the Libyan delegation said: The close distance between Egypt and Libya, and the speed of releasing goods, is one of the relative advantages that Egypt enjoys, and we must work to benefit from this advantage and work to develop it.
