CGB, Ministry of Justice, and Ministry of Labour Unveil Initiative Targeting Legal Workforce Integration

Doha: The Ministries of Justice and Labour, along with the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau (CGB), have introduced the "legal path to the labour market" initiative during a meeting featuring recent legal field graduates. The initiative aligns with joint efforts to prepare national legal professionals and enhance their readiness in accordance with Qatar National Vision 2030.

According to Qatar News Agency, Dhabia Ahmed Al Buainain, Director of the CGB's Nomination and Replacement Department, stated that the initiative is a strategic response to labour market demands. It offers a training program focused on developing legal skills of recent graduates, equipping them for successful entry into the workforce.

Acting Director of the Rehabilitation and Skills Development Department at the Ministry of Labour, Mohammed Al Khulaifi, highlighted the initiative's significance amidst the growing trend of encouraging national talents to gain professional experience in the private sector. The initiative, "legal path to the labour market 2026," serves as a launchpad to prepare and polish participants' skills to meet market demands and transition confidently into their careers.

Dr. Abdullah Hamad Al Khaldi, Director of the Center for Legal and Judicial Studies at the Ministry of Justice, emphasized the initiative's role in qualifying participants for the labour market. The program aims to ensure legal professionals possess the skills necessary to perform legal work effectively.

The initiative offers a three-month training program featuring two main tracks: legal qualification for government agencies and legal qualification for the private sector. The program, accommodating 33 law graduates, combines theoretical knowledge with practical application, covering topics such as legislation drafting, contract writing, legal memoranda, litigation procedures, and legal text analysis.

Supervised by legal field specialists, the program prepares participants for the legal work environment's demands. It concludes with two weeks of assessments to evaluate the participants' scientific and professional achievements the Center for Legal and Judicial Studies' training regulations.
