Bodies of 14 Martyrs Recovered from Under Rubble in Gaza

Gaza: The Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip announced Monday the recovery of 14 bodies of martyrs from under the rubble of a Palestinian family's home, destroyed by the Israeli occupation during its aggression against the Strip.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Civil Defense explained that the search and recovery operations took place under difficult conditions and with limited resources, as part of ongoing humanitarian efforts to recover the bodies of martyrs trapped under the rubble, in preparation for their dignified burial.

It emphasized that its teams in the Gaza Strip do not possess any heavy rescue equipment, adding: "Our teams are carrying out their missions with simple, rudimentary tools, after the occupation destroyed most of the agency's capabilities and resources during the war."

The General Directorate of Civil Defense in Gaza announced earlier Monday the commencement of operations to recover bodies from under the rubble of small houses destroyed in Gaza City as a result of the Israeli war of annihilation.

The Arab Authority for the Reconstruction of Gaza, the Emergency Committee, the Rapid Response Department, the Criminal Evidence and Forensic Medicine Department, the Ministries of Health and Religious Endowments, families of the martyrs, and tribal representatives are participating in the operation.

The search is currently focused on the rubble of another Palestinian family's home, which housed approximately 60 people, including children, women, and the elderly.
