Cairo: The Arab League has renewed its condemnation of Iranian attacks on several Arab countries, calling for a more unified and firm international stance to confront these attacks. This announcement was made during a meeting between Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, and Lari Hussar, Speaker of the Estonian Parliament, at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.
According to Qatar News Agency, Aboul Gheit emphasized that Iran is pursuing a hostile policy lacking a sound compass, which will have profound repercussions on its relations with the Arab world in the future. He highlighted the need for a coordinated international response to these aggressions to mitigate further tensions in the region.
The Secretary-General also expressed his appreciation for Estonia's steadfast position in supporting the Palestinian people's right to establish their independent state, in accordance with international law and the two-state solution. This solidarity was acknowledged as a significant step towards fostering peace and stability in the Middle East.
In their discussions, both sides agreed to strengthen regular consultation channels between the Arab League and the European Union (EU), ensuring closer coordination in addressing shared international challenges. This collaboration aims to enhance diplomatic efforts and create a cohesive approach to regional and global issues.
