San francisco: Anthropic, the American artificial intelligence company, has announced the expansion of its ‘Learning Mode’ feature in the intelligent chatbot Claude, making it available to all users and developers.
According to Qatar News Agency, the feature, which was initially launched in April, was previously limited to the ‘Claude for Education’ plan. The company explained that Learning Mode enables users to engage with Claude in a unique manner, where the chatbot guides users to uncover answers independently rather than providing them directly.
The feature is designed to be flexible, allowing users to disable it at any time. Activation is straightforward and can be done from the ‘Modes’ menu on the Claude.ai platform.
Drew Bent, Anthropic’s Head of Education, mentioned that the concept was developed in response to feedback from university students. These students expressed concerns about ‘brain atrophy’ due to the tendency to copy content from chatbots without fully understanding it.
Bent further explained that the aim of Learning Mode is to support users in developing their skills and analyzing code more deeply. This development is intended to help them become more like software engineering managers who can assess the quality of software projects.
