Prime Minister Muhammad Al-Sudani stressed, today, Wednesday, the need for the Supreme Youth Council to be effective and capable of providing tangible things.
A statement from his office to the media stated that Al-Sudani chaired, today, Wednesday, the first session of the Supreme Youth Council, in which many decisions were discussed to provide everything that would support the youth reality, which led to the issuance of some directives and recommendations.
The Prime Minister said at the beginning of the session that the Iraqi youth deserve all support because they are the pinnacle of loyalty and sacrifice, stressing the need for this council to be effective and capable of providing tangible things to the youth.
During the session, according to the statement, Al-Sudani gave some directions, the most important of which is to follow up on Cabinet Resolution No. 23465 of 2023 (International Youth Day), and the implementation rates of the paragraphs contained therein, in addition to the decisions issued by the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and a statement of implementation rates.
He also directed that priority be given in implementing all decisions related to the needs and requirements of the youth sector and that the Supreme Youth Council be considered an institutional framework to represent the interests and aspirations of Iraqi youth of all stripes.
Al-Sudani stressed, according to the statement, that there will be a special evaluation of all official agencies concerned with the youth sector and their officials to demonstrate the extent of their commitment to implementing the decisions of the Supreme Council for Youth.
The Prime Minister also directed the members of the Supreme Council for Youth to submit visions and ideas that would implement new projects for the youth sector, and to include them in the agenda of the Council’s meetings for discussion and approval.
