The Supreme Religious Authority, Mr. Ali Al-Sistani, received today, before noon, a number of citizens from Al-Jadriya region in Baghdad, who had previously appeared in the media and complained about the pressure and threats they were exposed to, to give up their lands in favor of some parties.
The Grand Ayatollah Sistani condemned what he described as "practices that violate the Sharia and the law," stressing: "One of the most important duties of those in positions of power and in control of the country's affairs is to protect the property and rights of citizens, and to stand up to those who seek to encroach on it through terrorism and intimidation, especially those with the official characteristics.”
