Al-Haweij calls on German companies to resume their projects in Libya.President al-Assad exchanges congratulation cables with a number of presidents of states on New Year

Tripoli: Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Al-Haweij, called on German companies to resume their work on contracted projects in Libya and to participate in the development and reconstruction plan. During the meeting, he reviewed with the Chargé d'Affaires of the German Embassy in Libya, Sven Krausp, the ministry's strategy for economic diversification and the participation of the non-oil sectors to increase local production and create a real economic partnership with Libya's trading partners in the EU, including Germany. Al-Haweij urged the Ministry's Department of Foreign Trade and International Cooperation to coordinate with the Commercial Department at the German Embassy to organize the Libyan-German Economic Forum 2024 in Tripoli and to hold bilateral meetings between the two countries' investors with the participation of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture and the Business Owners Council Source: Libyan News Agency Damascus, President Bashar al-Assad and a number of presidents of Arab and friendly foreign countries exchanged on Sunday cables of congratulation on the occasion of the New Year. The exchanged congratulatory cables included wishes for continued success, more goodness, progress, and strengthening relations between Syria and other countries. President al-Assad received the congratulation cables from the Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Chinese President Xi Jinping, the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong Un, the Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev, the Abkhazian President Aslan Bzhania and the President of Sierra Leone Julius Maada Bio.
