Doha: President of Al Ahli Sports Club Hassan Yousef Al Mulla has called upon Qatari sports fans to lend their support and encouragement to the club’s football team as it competes in the AFC Champions League 2. This marks the first time in history that the club will represent Qatar in this prestigious tournament.
According to Qatar News Agency, Al Mulla conveyed his message on the sidelines of the club’s General Assembly, emphasizing that Al Ahli is gearing up for challenging matches next month against seasoned clubs. He underscored the necessity of rallying fan support to help the team succeed in their inaugural international appearance.
Al Mulla expressed confidence in the team’s ability to showcase Qatari football at its finest, attributing this to the players’ motivation and the dedication of the technical staff. He highlighted that everyone is eager to create a new chapter in the club’s history with this debut on the continental stage.

Despite recent setbacks in the initial rounds against Al Shamal and Al Sadd, Al Mulla reaffirmed his confidence in the team’s potential to compete in the Qatar Stars League for the 2025-2026 season. He acknowledged the impact of key player injuries but assured that the team would recover its strength as players return.
The club’s General Assembly celebrated last season’s achievements, approved the minutes of the previous meeting, and endorsed several proposals aimed at the club’s development across all sports.
